There is much debate about US visa stamping in Mexico. Mexico IS STILL allowing TCN's to come down for stamping at any U.S. Consulate post in Mexico. Visas are still being issued to people who are eligible for them (RENEWALS ONLY). There are some changes though as to who is eligible for stamping in Mexico. Hello everyone! Well they just opened up August and September appointments for Matamoros. Please disregard the following message:

New! Due to unexpected workload increases, MATAMOROS will only accept applications from residents of the state of Tamaulipas (except residents of Nuevo Laredo).

This message ONLY pertains to the Mexican Nationals living in Mexico who wish to apply for the U.S. visa. This DOES NOT pertain to TCN's who wish to renew the U.S. visa. TCN's are welcome to come down for stamping in Matamoros. Everything has been pretty smooth with the exception of a few overnight delays here and there. The purpose of this page is to inform you of the latest news and information regarding the U.S. visa stamping process in Matamoros.

* There are some hotel owner(s) in the area that say they can provide this service only to have you stay at their hotel. CTS used one of these hotels as a pick up location in the past only to have our clients compain daily about dirty rooms, bad service, and it even got as bad as having clients cancel their interviews due to having severe bed bug bites all over their body. We have already met several of their clients just recently who have been very dissatisfied with the level of service they have received, only to be left alone at the consulate not knowing what to do next as their "agent" was nowhere to be seen. Please remember, just because someone is of the same nationality as you doesn't mean they are looking out for your best interests! CTS now uses one of Brownsville's finest hotels as a pick up location to help ensure that our clients are going to be as comfortable as possible. That is our pledge to you!
