Hi Pankaj, the process for the I-94 is very simple and easy. The only thing is that most of the time when we get there the office is already full or the officers are going through a shift change, that is what takes the longest, it is just about patience there is nothing to worry about.

Hi,

Currently I am working in L1 VISA in USA.I have applied for H1 this year 2007. And, got the approval too.
Now, I am planning to go for H1 stamping to Mexico in this month.
Will there be any problems for L1 to H1B stamping in mexico.

Some people say that I have to go back to my home country Inida for stamping. Do you know anyone attended for VISA stamping in Mexico.

Please suggest me.

Hi Raja, we have not encountered any problem with that kind of transfer, in fact today we had a client with the same case as you and did not have any problem making the transfer. Just to be sure, talk to your attorney, and bring every document you think might be necessary for your interview, also bring your I-129 and a letter from your employer. make sure you bring all originals.

Hi LAXMI,

L2 to H1B i dont see anything unusual from this case just bring employment letter and anything that supports that she is currently working.

in the worst case scenario if she gets denied she can still try with the immigration officer at the port of entry they have the last word on who enters and who doesn\'t.

Hi!!! OCT appointments have just opened so we recommend that you book yours as soon as possible . F1 to H1 transfers are not a problem, it is fairly easy, you are required to bring your OPT card, Transcripts from your university, and your diploma, also you might need your I-129. We recommend that you bring every document you have in order to have a smooth interview.

I 94 in H1b and Passport different . Is it a issue ?

when i entered US for the 1st time in feb 2006 with L1B visa,I got an I 94. Later in March 2007 , I applied for dependant visa H4. Got it approved

on March 27th 2007. Later I applied for H1B on April 1st 2007 with my documents and passport with old I 94 of L1B visa. Due to some constraints I had to go

india in May 28th 2007 , at the port I gave the I 94 of L1b visa when i left US. I went to Us consulate in chennai and got the H4 visa stamped on my

passport.I came to US on June 2nd 2007, on the port of entry , i got a new I 94 for the H4 Visa.

Recently my H1B got approved on Aug 9th 2007. The H1b Approval notice ideally should contain the I 94 of H4 visa . but it is still with I 94 of L1B visa.
It is wrong and illegal.

Since the I 94 in passport and the I 94 in H1b is different , the following are valid

1. it is illegal to stay in US after Oct 1st 2007
2. Working with wrong I94 of H1b is not valid
3. How easy it is to get stamping in mexico ?

1. While entering US, will my I-94 be removed by US border official?. And I also heard the mexican visitor permit will not be stamped in our passport, is it correct?.

2. I know PIMS is implemented in Matamoros like anyother consulate. Would like to know if you experience if there is any delay in getting the visa on the same day?. If so, how long was the delay?.

3. In case if I will be asked to stay back for few days, can CTS help me for my stay in Mexico.

4. At the worst case, in case if needed to go back to the country, would CTS help arranging for the travel?.

Thanks a lot in advance.

Regarding W-2s

Hi Alberto,

I am in USA since April 2002. I want to go to Matamoros, Mexico for my Third H1B Visa Stamping. If I will take 6 recent Paystubs, and 3 Years W2s, are they Enough. Your Input will be appreciated.

Thanks.

Stay in Mexico

If we leave our luggage in the hotel on the US side, does CTS help to transport luggage to Mexico if we had to end up staying there.

F-2 to F-1

I am currently in Houston on F-2 visa. I would like to change my visa status to F-1. Then, do I need to have an appointment scheduled to go to the consulate or can I go without an appointment as mentioned in the consulate website?

Out-of-sttaus

Hi Alberto,
I got my first H1 from employer A and when I moved to employer B, the employer A cancelled my H1 and the H1 tranfer that was applied by employer B was rejected (as I was not able to provide a client letter).
But I applied for another H1 tranfer and the H1 tranfer was approved then.
But meanwhile i was in out-of-status for 2 weeks ( during the H1 tranfer process). Will this be an issue when i come for Stamping?
Have you seen any similar case?

Thanks
Anna

No service once paid

I have requested Alberto to send copy of the bank receipt at least few times on few different days. No email response whatsoever. Many of us need this so that we could reimburse the expenses from office. Be aware, if you need anything from these guys then ask for it before you hand over the check. Once paid, expect **no** assistance..!

Public Intoxication arrest (non conviction)

CTS,

Do you guys know if people are facing delays (more than a day) if they have been arrested once for Public Intoxication but not a conviction since the PI case has been dismissed?

How are the matamoros consular officers treating these type of cases these days?

Appreciate your help here guys.

Thanks,

SP

F1 Visa

We are in U.S. My mother changed her visa from F2 to F1 through your services and she was appreciative of your service.
Now I need to change from F2 to F1 visa. I would like to know if it can still be done through you at Matamaros, Mexico

Here are some of the questions we get asked frequently. Please go over this page if you have any questions. We will be adding more soon.

Q: Can we take our children with us for the stamping even though they are US citizens?
A: Yes you can. Have your children’s U.S. passport ready.

Q: What should I bring for my children who are US citizen? Do they require permit to enter Mexico?
A: They will need their U.S passport.

Q: What documents do I need for my interview?
A: on Section Documents in our web page you will find some information that past clients have tell us they ask at the consular interview. Please consult your attorney if you have doubts on your documents remember we are not lawyers.

Q: Can you make the appointment for me?
A: No. You need to set your own appointment. You can do so by visiting www.usvisa-mexico.com

Q: Do I get a refund if I decide to cancel or reschedule my appointment?
A: Sorry, but the answer to this is no. We do not issue refunds once we have begun processing your paperwork. We begin processing immediately after receiving your documents. The U.S. Consulate also clearly states that the visa application fee is non-refundable, therefore, if we make that deposit for you, we can not refund that either. We ask that you make sure you are coming down before sending your documents

Q: What happens if I need to reschedule my appointment?
A: The visa application fee receipt will be valid for up to one year at any US consulate in Mexico. We may have to register you as a visitor once more at an additional cost of $50.00. Please get with us on this as soon as possible. We will do our best to work with you.

Q: What happens if I get rejected? Will I be allowed back into the U.S.?
A: It is up to the Immigration officer at the port of entry interviewing you to let you in back or not. You can apply for a visa waiver at the port-of-entry for $265.00 if the officer decides to let you in. You may also ask the consulate to allow you to re-enter for a short period of time to gather your belongings. In the worst case scenario and you were not allowed back to USA in either office, we will help you in Matamoros and in anything you might need and also help in applying for the departure permit so you can go back to home country that’s if needed.

Q: What issues have you come about?
A: very small percentage pf applicants get refused: forgetting documents, DWI, out of status, people having to go through extra security clearances which may take up to 3 weeks. Every issue like this has been resolved one way or another in either 1 day to 3 weeks. We ask that you please come prepared.

Q: How long will the whole process take? (*VERY POPULAR QUESTION)
A: There is no way of telling how long it will take. Usually we are back on average by 1pm but is unpredictable. Plan on using the whole day for this purpose, although you probably won't need that much time is for you to be cautious.

Q: Is it necessary to obtain a Mexican entry document? Why?
A: Yes. Unless you are a U.S. citizen or Canadian citizen, you are required by Mexican authorities to obtain an entry document to enter legally. Also, as our clients, we are responsible for your legal entry into Mexico. We are liable for fines and/or punishment from the Mexican government if we transport anyone without it. Please remember that in Mexico it is your (our) responsibility to report at the Mexican Immigration upon entering. You will have proof that you reported once you have your entry document stamped. The entry document is more of a precaution in case anything goes wrong. We can make all the necessary arrangements for an extension or departure in case it is needed.

Q: Where do you pick up? What time?
A: Days Inn in Brownsville Texas 7:00 A.M. every morning. They offer an airport shuttle service. Please let them know if you will need it.
